Rodrigo Ramos Bañados was born in Antofagasta in 1974. His work includes the novels Ciudad berraca, Pinochet Boy, Namazu, Pop, Alto Hospicio, Polka del perro and Biblioteca hundida, as well as short stories and chronicles. He lives in northern Chile and explores border regions and migration in his writing. He belongs to the Pueblos Abandonados collective.
